Platform Overview

The Scientific Editing Platform (SEP) offers content editing, copyediting, and formatting for grant applications and manuscripts. The platform services are currently free for Ragon researchers. 

Grant application editing: Each lab, core, and platform is entitled to support with one grant application every academic year. Additional applications are accommodated per the editors’ capacity. Applications from early career investigators or multi-investigator groups (consisting of two or more members of the Ragon faculty) are prioritized.  

Manuscript editing: Each lab, core, and platform can request support for manuscripts where a Ragon PI is a corresponding author.    

The SEP also offers the following services:  

1. Help with identifying funding opportunities for researchers at all career stages; 
2. Weekly drop-in hours to provide researchers editing feedback on any projects;
3. PLOMA (Please Look Over My Application), a program that connects fellowship applicants to colleagues who previously applied to the same or similar opportunities, with the goal of improving their applications.
