DeKosky Honored with AAI ASPIRE Award for Excellence in Immunology Research

The Ragon Institute is proud to announce that faculty member and Early Independence Fellow Brandon DeKosky, PhD, has been awarded a prestigious AAI ASPIRE Award by the American Association of Immunologists (AAI). This award recognizes outstanding early-career investigators who have made significant contributions to immunology research and demonstrate exceptional promise in the field.

The AAI ASPIRE Award supports early-career scientists by providing a cash award, travel support, and an opportunity to present their research at the AAI annual meeting. This recognition highlights DeKosky’s outstanding early-career work in immunology and underscores his leadership in advancing scientific discovery. DeKosky and other AAI Award winners will be recognized at the IMMUNOLOGY2025 conference on May 3–7, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

DeKosky is a Core Member of the Ragon Institute and an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on developing and applying novel techniques to study B and T cell responses, which play a crucial role in adaptive immunity. By leveraging high-throughput single-cell platforms, his lab is advancing new methods to analyze immune responses in viral infections, autoimmunity, and cancer, paving the way for innovative immune-based therapies.

The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) is one of the world’s largest organizations of immunologists and scientists in related disciplines. The mission is to improve global health and well-being by advancing immunology and elevating public understanding about the immune system

The Ragon Institute congratulates him on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to his continued success in pushing the boundaries of immunology and translational medicine.
