Ragon Institute

The Executive Directors provide strategic leadership and oversight across the Ragon Institute, guiding initiatives to ensure alignment with the Institute’s mission and vision. They oversee key operational, financial, and administrative functions, fostering a collaborative environment that supports our research teams and advances our mission.

The Ragon Communications Team is responsible for crafting and supporting the Institute’s internal and external messaging, overseeing a wide spectrum of communication channels – curating newsletters, managing our social media presence, creating relevant announcements, writing articles and press releases, and everything in between.

The Office of Education & Outreach supports the Institute’s mission and its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion by offering programs and educational opportunities to the Greater Boston community and beyond.

The Executive Office is responsible for providing administrative support to the Institute Director and Scientific Director, as well as managing preparation and logistics for all board meetings, institute-wide events, symposiums, and seminar series, faculty searches and new faculty onboarding and faculty meetings.

The Ragon Facilities Team oversees all operations and maintenance of our building's systems and equipment. They monitor and control utilities, HVAC, and energy management to ensure optimal operating conditions for our research activities.

The Ragon Finance Team ensures the financial health of the Institute through comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and long-term planning. This office is dedicated to managing our financial resources effectively to support the Institute's mission and goals.

The Ragon Grants Administration team works closely with Ragon faculty in their efforts to obtain external funding that allows them to conduct research that advances the Institute’s mission.

The Ragon Human Resources team is here to support the members of the Ragon Community at any time. From our day-to-day work to our multi-year strategic plan, we believe that when we create policies, processes, and transparency for the community, we are helping to ensure that everyone has the tools to do their best work.

The Innovation and Business Development Manager drives innovative research and patient impact at the Ragon Institute through a variety of industry partnerships that allow the Ragon to advance the study of immunology and leverage its research as the basis for developing products.

The Ragon IT Team is your first “port of call” when it comes to all things IT at the Ragon. We provide IT and AV support, pre- and post-purchasing advice, and generally help with any research IT queries.

The Ragon International team supports the Institute’s global initiatives to advance immunology research and healthcare, with a focus on South Africa. Through partnerships with local scientists, healthcare providers, and communities, this department facilitates research programs that combine scientific innovation with community-driven healthcare solutions.

The Research Compliance team supports Ragon investigators to ensure research is compliant with federal regulations, institutional policies, and sponsoring agencies. This department oversees 400-500 protocols involving research conducted both domestically and internationally, including the Ragon Institute’s program in South Africa.

The Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for the development of philanthropic partnerships and the creation and implementation of the Institute’s fundraising goals. The office also crafts external communication strategies to support these goals and enhance the visibility of the Ragon Institute.
